Sometimes we get caught up in the candy, the flowers, the Pinterest projects, and the romance of Valentine’s Day. But Valentine’s Day is about love. Plain and simple. And it’s not just about romantic love. It’s about everyone you love! Your spouse, your kids, your parents, family, friends, neighbors – everyone!
Showing them you love them doesn’t have to cost money. Think about the most meaningful gifts of love you’ve received in your life – most likely they were words. Words of encouragement, words of comfort, words of gratitude, words of compliment, words of love.
So write it down. Say it out loud. Make a movie. Sing a song. Write a poem. Just tell them. Tell them how grateful you are that they are part of your life. Tell them what they mean to you. Tell them how proud of them you are. Tell them how amazing they are. Tell them thank you. Tell them you love them.
Let this Valentine’s Day be about love for everyone who is important to you. Show them. Choose them. Love them.
